Drawing from stories in her book, Between Two Homes, Dr. Bonilla explores Haiti, memory, and diasporic identity. We’ll consider how personal and collective stories shape our understanding of place, inheritance, and who we become across borders.

In this lecture, he'll discuss the works of Argentinian writer Julio Borges and Italian writer Italo Calvino. Touching on mid to late 20th century literary theory, he'll explore the fusion of reader, writer, and text.
