The Leisurely Lecture was born out of a desire to create a space for people to gather to enjoy interesting lectures led by academics and experts. This lecture series offers scholars the chance to share their work outside the classroom and invites the public to experience university-caliber talks in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Each lecture aims to foster intellectual engagement with a given topic and to encourage the conversation to continue long after the talk ends.

ABOUT ME
elcome! I'm Ariane. I'm an anthropologist, a linguist, and most importantly, a lifelong learner.
During undergraduate and graduate school, I was intellectually nourished by two things beyond the classroom and meetings with professors: access to a vast university library and university sponsored lectures.
After graduating, I found that such opportunities for intellectual exchange were not easily available to me. Hence, I created The Leisurely Lecture to meet like-minded people, listen to interesting lectures, and have thoughtful conversations.
